Description

I am blessed with property out in West Texas with Bortle skies bordering between 3 and 4.

The Winter arm of or galaxy is very well defined on a moonless night while the summer core cast faint shadows during new moon. It has been a while that I have posted due to life demands and crummy weather. However this night was spectacular! New moon, completely clear and only in the 50s for low temps. The is a 130mm Sigma Foom lens on a Canon 6D MK II. The mount is Skywatcher Star adventurer and polar aligned by polar scope only. The big thing here is I let Arsenal do all the work on the camera to focus, take the shot and all I did was some minor post processing. This is a single 20 second shot at 20000 ISO.
